Performance chips

I am considering adding a performance chip to my 1987 325e. I am looking for some advice on which brand works best? (Dinan, AC Schnitzer, etc.) Is it putting my engine at risk adding the chip? I dont plan on thrashing the car but it would be nice to have some extra power. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....J.P

Re: Performance chips

dinan makes a nice chip, the jim confortie chips at turner motor sports are the best, the only thing you must be careful with is the gas you use. anything less than 92 octane can cause seriouse damage to the motor.
