Head gasket problem on 88 Si?

Well everyone...I finished rebuilding my car finally a week or so ago. Only to find out I have a massive oil leak. I took it into the shop to see where it was from (my dad's garage is 3 hours away) and they could see oil coming from my head gasket on the rear of the block on the passenger side. I did make the mistake of torquing my head twice with the same head gasket, but I don't think that would result in that much lost oil. Whenever the car is driven, you can just smell the oil burning off the engine. Is there anything that could possibly be wrong with the block or the head maybe? Like not perfectly level or something? Another thing that might help you guys give me some ideas is that I think the head was leaking oil before I had my head rebuilt and put a new head gasket on, but not nearly as bad as now. I would really appreciate any input anyone has. I'm gonna be tearing my whole car apart next friday again to try to fix the bitch.
Thanks

Drew

Try the easy stuff first like checking the torque on the head bolts. If that doesnt help try replacing the head gasket. Make sure to torque them in the correct order. If that that doesnt help and your sure its coming from the head you may have to replace it.
