Question about the celica head

hey guys and girls im new to the celica thing. the girlfriend is thinking of buying one so i needed to find something out. what make the gts better then the gt... what gives it the extra 40 horse. i was reading the description and the only thing toyota says is different is the gts has timing and lift. so in other words if she buys a gt can i just swap the head with that of a gts. thanks for any help you can give me.

Re: Question about the celica head

Easier just to swap the cams. They are the part that determines valve timing and lift. Have to have the same heads other than that.

Re: Question about the celica head

get a gts, way beter, they come with VVTL-i instead of VVT-i, your not going to be able to swap head cuz they wont match us, gt has a 1zzFe head (its an F head) and gts has a 2zzge (a G head), they wont match up properly on the block, plus youll probably spend more money on the swap cuz youd have to get a new ecu cuz it wouldnt know wtf was going on and various other things.

dont go through the hassle, get a gts
