pre 99 4.6L torque

does anyone know how much torque a pre-99 4.6L has? I really want to buy a GT but 99+ GT's are a bit out of my price range, and the 215 hp that the pre-99s put out is a bit unspectacular to me (as that's about how much my V6 is currently putting out) so i'd like to know how much of a torque advantage it would have over my 3.8L (which has about 240 ft/lbs). if anyone knows, please share. thanks.
