Clutch "judder/vibrating" when cold.

Hi there,
I know very little about cars, but no less than my local toyota dealer it would seem.
I own a 1994 4runner which is a 3.0 turbo diesel manual engine and gear box. When cold the car Judders quite badly when pulling away for the first time. It shake the whole car but after dipping the clutch a few times it goes away. Is this a worn clutch or is it something more sinister? It's been doing it for about a year.

Please can someone help point me in the right direction.

Thanks guys

D.

Probably just an overheated clutch. No point in replacing it for that. As long as it locks up, don't screw with it.
