Videos

Added some more vids to my site. I came across a random, unlabled CD that I had forgotten all about. A local club member had a bunch of videos of my runs from the 2003 Shootout. The only 11 second footage of my car that I have seen, though there is some really good stuff out there being put into a DVD (The New England DSM DVD for 2002 just got released... Havent seen it yet, but I should be getting one at the SO this year). At any rate, they are on the POSR site (www link below), my page, vidoes tab up top.

Re: Videos

Thank you Kevin! I can't tell you how many times I have shown my friends the WRX vs. Jewer video....

Every time one of my buddies comments on how he wants a WRX, I'm like "hey, let's take a trip over to the computer real quick"

ahhh you dont get it though! Yeah in that one video, the eclipse beat the wrx. But the car WASN'T stock! I'm sure I can go find a lot of videos of wrx's killing eclipses... But should that be a deciding factor of whether or not to buy a car? WRX's are awesome cars, and I'm sure if you guys werent so damn biased, you'd admit it too

My friend has a 10 second talon, but do I want his car? NO WAY. I'd much rather have my "slow" wrx because I know my car will start every morning. His does not, like a few others on this board who shall remain nameless

and when a WRX gets as old as a DSM that breaks down, it will break down too...

Re: Videos

well if you want to bring age into this, I'll go get out the 30 year old rx-3 and school all you guys

look up reliablity on subarus in general, they're far more reliable than dsms. I dont want to start anything and I dont want anyone to get offended at anything I say, but I'm just sticking up for my car, like the rest of you.

Re: Videos

what the hell do ppl mean when they say DSMs start "falling apart" at 100K? Change the Fu(k!ng oil on time, get the belts done on time, make sure the fluids are good, and nearly all cars will last a very long time. Ppl are fck!ng stupiD sometimes, jeeez. Fallin apart my a$$. Plus Subarus are like Saabs, FCKNG UGL333. (though the new 9-1 and 9-3 are awesome, after 50 years of ugliness, finally some class). Id pick a MITSUBISHI evo over a SUBARU wrx any damn day, even a GSX over a wrx..

dollar for dollar, you can mod the sht outta DSMs and make them extrememly fast....put the same dough in some damn integ' or sUbAru , and you dont get as much. So who the fcking hell cares if my DSMs leather seat starts getting a hairline crack after 10 years and 100K miles. If I wanted "ReLiAbiLiTy", I'd drive your grannieZ 1989 oldsmobile. reliability is a purely compartitive word. So what if the same problems develop on DSMs 1000 miles earlier than the granny mobiles. GIVE ME A BREAK!

(and now, an intermission....)

Re: Videos

I love coming into the eclipse forums... you guys get so defensive over your cars.

97_3clipse ~ First of all, grow up. I never said ANYTHING about my miata. I know its slow.
Your talon wont keep up with any of my cars except the miata, so of course you have to bring that up.

I never said dsm's fall apart at 100K. You obviously heard that from someone else. All I said was subarus are more reliable. Why get all bent out of shape about it? You think subarus are ugly, thats personal perference, and you are welcome to it. It doesnt bother me because I hear it so often from people who cant think of anything worse to say about them. I didnt buy it because it "looked pretty"

Another thing, I agree with you that modifying a dsm is cheaper than the subaru. But the wrx is a STOCK DAILY DRIVER. I have my rotarys to modify if I want cheap speed. You cant get 35 hp by just putting a header and tuning it correctly on a dsm can you?

"I'd drive your grannieZ 1989 oldsmobile" Who drives that? Not me...
