head unit???

does anybody know how to remove the stock head unit on a 2003 civic ex???

i just put an alpine in my 03 ex. first remove the center console. it should just pop off. then you should have 2 screws right under the cup holder that will allow you to pop the sides off. after that you need to remove the power outlet section which should just pop off as well. after that you will have 2 verticle screws that hold the radio and climate controls in. once you have those out, carefully, and i mean VERY carefully use a flat head screwdriver to pop the radio/climate control panel out. you will need to disconnect the plugs and then remove the climate control knobs from the from, they should also pop off. once you have done that turn it over and remove the climate control unit and the rest is pretty easy. when you are putting it back together make sure you dont have any wires pinched, its easy to do that and cut them, there isnt a lot of room in there. hope that this helps. if it doesnt, i might have a sheet at home that will have pics and stuff.
