Programming PCM/ECM

OK, another question from the newbie. I have been using LS1-Edit since it first came out to program the Corvettes and F-bodies. I sometimes work on weekends in a shop with a chassis dyno and re-program the computers in these cars to get at least another 20 HP to the rear wheels.

My question is: does anyone make any kind of unit to change the program in the 1997 Silverado? Don't mention Hypertech; I have examined many PCM's that were changed using this and it is so minor that I cannot believe they charge as much as they do.

ANY help in this area would be appreciated.

LS1-Edit is available at carputing.com but i recommend that you check out the sites that are using this before you jump into doing your own programming. It is very easy to make a wrong choice and damage your engine. I have used this program for well over 300 tunes now, and would be happy to offer advice if i can help.

My problem is that I cannot find any program that will let me work on the 99 Silverado that I just bought.
