Apex N1 Exhaust...Like it?

Im interested in the Apex'i N1 catback (or axleback, whichever it is) for my 96 Civic LX. Does anyone have this one their Civic? My friend has a 91 240sx with the dual N1 Turbo exhaust and it sounds great, but i think most of that has to do with his 2.4L KA's higher displacement. So how does the single N1 sound on the Civic? (Turbo piping or NA piping)

Re: Apex N1 Exhaust...Like it?

It's loud

But it's not really an effective exhaust on any Civic that cannot rev high. Since all the power comes near redline.

I'm selling mine for the better low end torque of the A'PEXI WS II.

Re: Apex N1 Exhaust...Like it?

It's one of the most popular exhausts for Civic owners IMO. I know a lot of people who have one and are satisfied with it. There used to be a site where you could listen to sound/video clips of exhaust setups. I think I have a video of a 97 Civic EX with an APEXi N1 exhaust. It's from one of our old members (RiceBurninVTEC). Let me know if you want to see it.

hmm i couldnt get the vids to download....all im really looking for is a deep powerful tone that doesnt get ricey sounding at high RPM...also is it worth the money? N1 is about $500...compare to $800 for HKS Hi Power.

Depends on where you get it from, I got my Apexi N1 exhaust, down pipe, and muffler installed for around $225 by some vendors and personal exhaust shops that I know.

I had this Apexi Exhaust on my '97 Civic EX and it sounded really good.
I have it on my '95 Altima SE right now, and its a little bit loud for my personal taste, but still very nice.

Maybe try the skunk2 mega power cat-back?!?!?! Just a suggestion. Seems like skunk2 is a pretty reliable company to me.
