New Spoiler

Hey all, if i was to buy a new spoiler like this- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33708
do you think it would fit right into the holes where the stock wing goes or would i have to fill those, and place the bolts somewhere else?

Re: New Spoiler

i think it'll look good,... but a smaller one tho. 13inch'll look too tall and 57" is just too wide for our car. you might wanna look for a 10" tall and around 53" wide one. it'll look much better that way and taper. yes, you do have to drill holes yourself which is not too hard. just have to measure it right. the only thing have to watch out for with these spoilers is that they get jacked very easily. since they're only held on with a couple screws, car jackers can easily knock them off with a hammer.

Can CF hoods be jacked pretty easily too if the car is parked outside of my house. I was contemplating getting hood pins but i am not sure.

Re: New Spoiler

Just buy a stock turbo dsm spoiler. They look the best out of any spoiler/wing I've ever seen on a dsm, IMO. But yea, that wing is a bit too ricey for my tastes; and like ricerocket said it can be easily stolen by car thieves.

Re: New Spoiler

You know what, I think it'll look just okay if you were to reduce the height...make it sit low on the trunk if thisis the one u really want.

Re: New Spoiler

actually 57" length should be fine. here's a pic of a 10" height 59" length wing on our car. http://www.aprperformance.com/produc...ID=AS%2D105958 look closely at the profile pic. you'll see why you don't want it to be too high. i think 57" should look better than 59" length. those CF are about the best looking F-1-ish looking style wings out there for our car without being too rocketish. i like them. was thinking about getting one myself. like i said.. just be careful about the height and length.

CF hoods are bolted on the same way as stock hoods (correct me if i am wrong). doesn't make it any easier to get stolen.
