power door locks
hello i have a 94 del sol. it doesn't have power door locks and i want to put them in but i don't believe that in 94 they didn't come with power. So cani use a 96 or 97 model year power door locks? oh and how much boost should i run with a t3/t4 turbo on a stock inside B16A3?

Re: power door locks
the interior is the same for all model years, as far as i know, so the 96, 97 parts should work fine. mine has power locks, and is a 95, so you can look for those as well.
i would say you can safely run ~7lbs daily with stock internals. you can raise that with very good tuning to about 9-10, and even higher. there are stories of a couple people achieving double digit boost on stock internals reliably, but they have upgraded just about everything but the internals by that point.

Re: power door locks
i would look at rods/pistons, as those will be the first things to go. next, if you really want to turn up the boost, you can always get the block sleeved or get a block guard. 10-12 is not too much more than the safe 7-8, so rods/pistons should be as far as you need to go. from there, just make you have good tuning, including the right timing and enough fuel. if you are really worried about it, when you get the new rods/pistons you can think about dropping the compression. this will give a larger margin of error, however, it does sacrifice hp.
