Air conditioning Temp for 2000 740IL

I just purchased a 2000 740IL. The air condition was not working but the dealer had the system checked and charged. Of course, they could not find a leak. What should the air temperature be coming out of the vent if you set the temp for 60° and out side air is in the 90's°?

So far 44° is as cold as it gets with just a vent thermometer from Adavanced auto part when driving around.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill

Re: Air conditioning Temp for 2000 740IL

I'd say your system is working fine. Do to obvious space and power limitations, automotive A/C systems are a compromise. Getting 44F outlet temp. @ an ambient temp. of > 90F is excellent.
