please help ASAP

Hey everyone...I would really appreciate it if someone has an answer to this question. I have an 88 prelude si and I had my head rebuilt. I got it back with the cams and everything separated. The shop labeled the cams 1 and 2. Does anyone know which would be the intake cam and which would be the exhaust one? If not, is there anyway to test them and find out for sure? I don't want to fuck my engine up by having my cams switched . Please let me know if you know anything. Thanks.

Drew

I also own an 88 and cant find any info in my manuals. I looked at chilton, haynes, and helms. They all say to put them in thier original locations. Like that helps?? I will keep looking. You should try calling the shop that did your work.

thanks sofast. I called the shop that did the work (thank goodness they were open on a saturday) and they told me they either marked the head with a 1 or 2 or put 1 or 2 punches on the head directly behind where the cam gears sit. I think I got it cuz it looks like there are lines punched in that don't belong there. thanks for looking tho. I would have really messed up my engine cuz I had my timing on already and stuff but had to take it all off cuz I had some seals on backwards. I had the cams switched too...so now I gotta do the timing again with the cams in the right spot.
