thunderbirds are go??

i was really looking forward to this movie because im a big thunderbirds fan i have a couple of dvds and a lot of tb comics but when i read a review that said it basically floated around alan and not really the ships or the whole international rescue thing it ticked me off.. i mean come on who cares about a litlle kid who has to save his family up in space? i liked thunderbirds because it had cool plots even though on the shows you can see that they re-use the same puppets for the people in the background. thats also why i liked it. their trying to make it un-corny but that to me was almost the cool part where you could see the puppet strings and tell that some of the instruments on the instrument panel where toothpaste caps, etc. plus it had alot of pyrotechnics in it i think that they shouldve used the original puppets again in this movie or atleast a good plot...

I could never stand to watch the show. Those puppets freaked me out so I'm probably never goin to watch the movie. It looks like a childrens movie anyway. And not a good childrens movie like Spy Kids either!

The original TV series was the ultimate in 'willing suspension of disbelief'

They did terrific things with live action puppets and some firecrackers.

Of course the movie is for the sub-12 year old set, but I am impressed that the various movie planes and rockets look much like the ones in the original series.

Re: thunderbirds are go??

well i saw it last night just for the heck of it and it actually wasnt too bad it was pretty cool except for the cartoon sounds during the lady penolpe and parker vs bad guys fight scene(s) it was like boiiing and stuff... the soundtrack was awesomely redone IMO... i recommend this movie if youre bored and have nothing to do...
