another ECU Question
Is the ecu out of a 90-91 teg (non vtec) the same as one from a 90-91 civic/crx Si?

Re: another ECU Question
nope..not sure of the designations.. but a 90-91 teg has a b18...while 90-91 si has a d16..
they're both OBD0 though..if that's your question

Re: another ECU Question
they will both plug into your stock harness but they are not the same ecu.

Re: another ECU Question
90-91 integra is a PR4. 6800 rpm rev limit, maps for a 1.8L DOHC.
90-91 CRX/Civic Si is a PM6. 7413 rpm rev limit, maps for a 1.6L SOHC. all rights and means, a 90-91 PR4 can be used the same as a 90-91 PM6, provided you chip it with the correct maps. the electronics used in both chips are almost identical, so the same chipping method can be used. The microprocessor, however, uses a different codebase in stock form, but this is no problem as you can simply run PM6 codebase in a PR4 ECU. |

Re: another ECU Question
The PR4 adds enough fuel for a 1.8L DOHC engine while a PM6 is only enough fuel for a 1.6L SOHC. The ecu is totally interchangable and can be used but with a pr4 on a 1.6l engine it will run very rich!
PM6's dime a dozen? Nope PM5s are def a penny for like 50 dozen.. lol |

Re: another ECU Question
but you can get a pm6 for like $25-30 on ebay.. so why wouldnt you want your car to run properly, easily..instead of trying to remap a pr4?

QUOTE] what do you mean by that. remapping an ECU would make the car run exactly like a PM6. not everyone has a rom burner as i do, but i can make a PR4 act like any ECU in a matter of about 10 seconds.. the time it takes to flash an EEPROM. |
