Civic EX Catback

Okay -- what is the best catback system for a civic ex? Looking to spend about 180 tops.

Peace,

Re: Civic EX Catback

For $180 you won't get brand name, but they have pretty good quality knock-offs on ebay for less than that. I've never heard anything bad about them, although now that I've said that I'm sure 100 people on this site are going to say they bought cheap ones and hated them. So before everyone jumps on me - only considering your budget, that's the way to go.

Re: Civic EX Catback

Thanks Kafziel.

James -- check ebay. There are PLENTY. As far as an off-brand goes, I have a throttle body spacer and air intake on my jimmy that are off-brand and they work great! Brand name does not always mean good design/quality. For instance, my gibson catback on my Jimmy ($350.00) is already falling apart after less than 3 years.

Peace,
DZNZ

Re: Civic EX Catback

There are no Civic EX catbacks for less than $180...
I've been researching for may months the same thing.
You can however pickup an axle back for about $180
but you'll need larger diameter piping from the cat to the start of the axle back. Please whatever you do do not buy the Pacesetter Monza it is very affordable catback but will rust away within a year.
Just my $0.02.... Check out http://mufflertech.com/htmlsite/products.asp
you might find something there of interest...

Re: Civic EX Catback

Yeah some people on ebay try to make up for crappy sales by inflating their shipping cost. You're right, it usually evens out. And both are still usually cheaper than in stores. I don't know about better though, but if budget is the #1 concern then ebay is probably best.
