Re: need help

It depends on if your going to do any upgrades (like turbo or go all motor) If you go all motor you should go with the h22a cause it has high compression. If you want to go turbo you should go with the h22 type S cause it has lower compression. Not saying that you can't turbo an h22a but I think you would get more boost out of your car (if you go turbo) because the lower compression the better.

Re: need help

It's going to cost around $4500-5000 to put it in you car. Custom engine harness(plug) wiring, need specail mounts, special axles, need to cut the tranny side engine bracket, need to cut the shiftlinkage hole bigger... hell just check out http://h22hybrid.20m.com/

Re: need help

You're also going to need mounts from hasport or hcp. And you have to make sure you're getting the right axles, the prelude ones won't work. You'll also need a usdm 92-96 prelude rear mount bracket. And replacement parts (clutch flywheel, T-belt, new radiator hose to fit yours with the motor, etc). If you want to keep AC you need a bracket from HCPengineering.com. Probably going to want to get a new thiner radiator fan (my buddy didn't have to but i've heard of other people needing to). It all adds up pretty quick I was roughly figuring in the price of installation. It's not a simple swap like the B-series are, you have to do research (like that link I gave you); or find a shop that knows how to do it and has done it before.
Forgot you'll need new springs and shocks to to get rid of some of the understeer that you'll have.

Re: need help

Copy/Pasted from hmotorsonline.. have fun ordering an engine through them, if those dicks wil even talk to you on the phone. It's like they hate working there.. I guess I would too if I received calls all day from little dumbasses calling me with stupid questions, but they lost my business because of it. If you talk to Steve, let him know he needs more coffee in the morning or something.
