The Bourne Supremecy: Movie Review

ok folks, the movie bros are back to work with this weeks movie, the bourne supremecy, and i got to say, it was a good one.

We catch up with our main character trying to live a normal life in India, but when he suspects that Treadstone is still following his every move, he and his girlfriend, start running.

This film is a little different than the first one, in that Bourne is trying to escape the people sent to kill him, rather than find out who they are. With some good fight scenes, a good story, and one hell of a car chase, this film is a nice pick for the weekend. However, its one downfall may be the action scenes moved to fast, and the camera work was hard to follow them, making some fight scenes hard to see what was happeninng.

3 stars out of 4. Rated PG-13 for action-violence and brief language.
approx. 2hrs.

Do you think it would be advisable to see the Bourne Identity before seeing the Bourne Supremecy?

Yes, most definetely. The first one was awesome as it is. So it's good to see anyway.

Re: The Bourne Supremecy: Movie Review

I figured that it would be smart to rent it before, and when my parents went to Hastings today I told them to pick it up if they had it, but they only had 1 dvd and 1 vhs and both of them were rented out...so I guess I'll have to wait till they get it in, or go somewhere else.

I've been reading about this and everybody is bashing Paul Greengrass for this technique of camera work. Is it difficult or are people just whining wankers? I'm a bit of a movie buff (wrote a script for my MA thesis) and I really want to see this film. I got the extended beginning/ending version "Bourne Identity" last night as a refresher but was wanting it anyway. Nothing beats espionage/violence/car chases in film

Oh, and I really want to learn how to hook my car drifting like Bourne does in that mini in "Identity"... the ass end was swinging out and tucked back like a French whore on X

Re: The Bourne Supremecy: Movie Review

the mini was more than likely setup to do that.

The shaky cam was horrible for those fight scenes, half the time you couldn't tell who was doing what. It's even worse when you're in the front row, you have no idea what's goin on. The whole scene seemed like it was filmed during a violent earthquake. It made the scenes more intense, but also more confusing.
