Mirror lights

I own a 2003 GMC, it has power mirrors with the heater, signals and courtesy lights (puddle lights). The light on the pasenger side has a broken retaining clip and the light was just hanging there till I wedged it in with piece of paper. Does anyone know where and if I can get just the light for the mirrors. The dealer sells just the mirror as an assembly only, for a mere $250. A little too steep for a light in my book!!
Thanks.

Too many miles to be under warranty?

This should be covered, and if not I think that your dealer can find a part number for it.
There were a lot of mirrors being replaced as copmplete assemblies for just the kind of concern you're expressing, and GM got sick of the payout, so they separated all the parts for individual concerns. (There is a bulletin out regarding the mirror problems.)

Hope this helps.
