'97 front end noise and vibration

This is similar to what others have reported about front end vibration. I have replaced tires a couple of times and the rotors and, of course, numerous alignments. Still vibrates between 65 & 80. Now I have started noticing a low frequency growl (for lack of a better word) when rolling to a stop. It isn't brakes because it does it when I allow the car to roll to a stop. There is no popping on turns to indicate CV wear. Sound like front end or tranny?
