Weatherstripping

I just picked up some weatherstripping for my 88 GT hatchback. Im wondering if theirs any tips on taking off the old stuff and how to adhere the new stuff. Glue or is their adhesive on the back of the weathersttripping itself?
Thx for info.

I have replaced the weatherstripping on my 87's doors. No glue or adhesives. The stripping is made to be 'self sticking' for lack of a better term. It simply fits over the metal crimping that frames the doors and the hatch. The old stuff just 'pulls' off and you simply 'push' the new stuff on. Just be sure to measure it against the old one, and you can usually cut it with a heavy pair of scissors as the stripping usually has 1 or 2 metal strips inside of it that helps keep it rigid and allows it to be 'shaped'. Hope this helps.
