96 sunfire gt v.s. 95 dodge neon sport

What would be a better car to go with??? The reason i am askign this is becuase i had originaly bought a 95 neon sport 5speed (SOHC), From a dodge dealership sinc ei have bought it i have had notheing but problems with it so the dealer ship has been fixing it, they came to me and said that they dont want to fix teh car nomore its not worth there money so they offered me a 96 sunfire gt,...... My neon had 157 000 km's on it where as the sunfire has 187 000 km's on it.... would this be worth taking??? What is the better of the 2 veichles in terms of spped and relibality... and if i take the sunfire what should i ask fro teh dealer first about it????

thnaks u all!

Speed is the same...lol.

Trust me, I almost got run off the road the other day by a Neon. He shot off doing a 100 or so. I barely caught him, and I stopped f--king around, because I couldn't outrun the f--ker.

In terms of looking better, the Sunfire MOST definitely is at the top of my list. And if you rearend someone, the Sunfire is going to protect you more since the front end is a bit longer. My b/f had a Neon. She rearended some truck, and her car was crumpled in a ball.

I'm not sure on the reliability. The years of those two cars are a bit older, so it really depends on the previous owners. Do ask for a Carfax report to make sure it's not a lemon, and ask where they got it from. Also ask what they are willing to do if the Sunfire gives you problems as well.

Hope this helps.

I would rather have the sunfire that the neon.
I like the looks of the Sunfire better.
But if you got the Neon, there is always a motor swap with a SRT4.
Those go like a flash. Test drove one and I was happy.
Got back in my car and suddenlt I was going slow....probably explains why I wanna put a 3.8 s/c in my sunfire

SRT4's are ugly, but they are pretty fast.

Very fast.
Took one for a test drive. Dealer ship guy didn't have his seat locked in all the way. He went for a ride till the end of the seat rail.
Push hard on the gas and you almost can't shift fast enough!

95 neon, slow compared to a GT, also prone to heads going quickly. My 95 GT has 180k on it and no head gasket yet. Gotta let it get up to temp before you play.

I think it runs just about $1000cdn when the head gasket decides to go.

Re: 96 sunfire gt v.s. 95 dodge neon sport

Yeah i realy dont know what to do..... i do agree with u gusy that sunfires do look better.... but im not sure for teh whole speed issuse, iw as told by a friend that sunfires top out at 170 k where as my neon topped out at 235 k, And all i have done to my neon is cold air intake, mopar proformace chip and then a mod to the chip, short throw shifter and sum fancy ani froction gears or sumthin liek that...... so is there away to get teh sunfire to go faster with out swaping th engine???:S

Its not a matter of what speed a car tops out at, but how long it takes to get there. I'm sure it will take longer in the Neon then it will in the Sunfire
