Fix Civic or RSX type S?

i've been thinking about this lately, I really wanted to fix up my 95 civic, with the rear damage it has (drunk driver smashed into it) the damage is pretty severe in the drivers side rear and got the trunk lid a little bit too. So all that would have to be replaced, and I also have an assload of scraches from the sunroof not working properly (left scratches on the top of my car) and the hood has a few dents in it nothing big just annoying. I also ran over one of those cement blocks and backed out over it again lol, complete accident. Anyways, I was thinking about getting all that done and swapping out the motor for either a GSR motor or a Type R motor if i can find one or just suck it up and sell the car and buy a RSX type S. So i suppose my question is, would it be worth it to fix the civic? A link to a picture of the car should be available by tomorrow, i'll post the link then.

Re: Fix Civic or RSX type S?

Get a WRX 2002. You can get them used for about 19ish. Honestly type s isnt worth it IMO. 23+'s .... Hey could even get a s2000 for less than 24g's now.
Go to www.autotrader.com gives you list of dealers and private sellers. Also.. The 2005 models will have a preformance upgrade so if you do end getting a type s get the 2005. Oh oh but you wont be able to get it in white or blue. Thoese colors will be discon. I dunno get a WRX.

I would consider grabbing a used S2000 as well. '00 S2K's can be had for just over $20,000. The Type-S is a nice ride, but it is a bit overpriced. A WRX would be a good choice as well. Look around if you aren't dead-set on owning a Honda/Acura; there are plenty of good cars to choose from.

Re: Fix Civic or RSX type S?

if it's broke upgrade it. Since it seems like your entire car is broke, upgrade and get a better car. The RSX-S is a bad ass car. Hard to find something that can handle as well in it's price range brand new. I have a friend with a bone stock RSX-S and he whoops ass at the auto-x against people who have a shit load of suspension done to their car. The only real upgrade he has are Kumho MX tires, which are bad ass BTW.
