Racing story, raced a stang 5.0 in a 300zx

Well anyways i was cruising the streets just chillin, trying to find some people to hang out with and talk to. Well after 25 minutes go by i come up to a red light and am thinking, oh god i hope i dont churp my tires and get pulled over by a cop (im on probation and cant get into any trouble or i can risk going to jail for 18 months; I churp the tires sometimes b/c my new stage 2 clutch needs to be adjusted). So the light turns green and this car beside me takes off, what do u know it was a subaru wrx. So i am like "damn, he is trying to see what i got!" So i hit the gas and pass him at about 80 mph; he slowed down when he hit 60 mph i would estimate, ....then i slowed down (i know it sounds like a ricer flyby, but i just wanted him to see that i wanted to race). So after me hitting 80, he speeds up a little and i slow down so we are right next to each other. We were doing about 60 mph and i looked over to him and hit the throttle a little but he didnt take the bait. So after seeing him not take the bait i just slowed down to about 45 mph and just started cruisin again, but then he guns it!!! Damn him...lol, i wanted to race!

So after that i just started to cruise again for about 10 min when i pulled up to a red light and my friend was there with his high compression turbocharged volvo ( his upgrades are ecu/exhaust if anyone cares). He asked me what i was doing and i just told him i was just cruisin, he was like cool, and then the light turned green so we went our own seperate ways. (i know u guys are like damn, this guy has no life, he is just driving around. But There isnt shit to do where i live!!!!

So anyways some more time goes by and i find myself at a yield sign. A red mustang goes by, so i decided i should catch up to him and see if he wants to race. I took off a little hard from the yield sign to catch up but then decided i would just casually catch up. Well anyways we come up to a red light and what do u know i see my friend with the volvo again!

We were all lined up at the redlight (the mustang, the volvo, and me). I looked over at my friend and he motioned that he would race the mustang. Being the person i am i dont like to start a race but like to finish one if i can. Well the light turns green and no one takes off but my friend, after the mustang saw that someone was trying to race him he hit the throttle a little and caught up to my friend (my friend slowed down, cause he didnt want to look like an ass) so they both were cruisin by each other at about 60 mph maybe? So I had to play catch up and had to hit 75 mph to catch up cause i didnt hit the gas at all. So anyways once i caught up to him i look over to the stang and he is laughing at me (i guess he thinks im just another ricer that doesnt have a fast car and is wasting his time). Well while he is laughing he hits the throttle and takes off a little then slows down (at that point i see that the stang has an exhaust system and big ass tires and it sounded like it was supercharged, i dont know; it sounded beastly though). Well anyways i speed up a little and am in 3rd gear waiting to go. Well he hits the gas and then i do also and we just stay neck and neck with each other at about 85-90 mph then he slowed down, i did the same after he slowed down. Well after we slowed down we were doing 60 mph and i looked over and he wasnt laughing anymore...so anyways he hits the gas i hear his engine roar and then i hit the gas and again we were neck and neck again.

Well at that point i thought i was being too nice and letting him hit his throttle first so i decided to hit my throttle first. So i did and then i heard his car!! He caught up a little but then fell back to my gas tank (by this time we are doing 110 mph) then he just shuts down and just starts cruisn at 60. I then slow down and i see that he has his blinker on and then he gets into the turning lane. Damn!!!! I will never know if he was truly racing. I usually like to talk to the people afterwards.

I guess he was upset that he couldnt beat me or he was done toying with me????? I dont know, what do u guys think??? Remeber the races were from a 60 mph roll on and i think a na z (all z's for that matter) are real good at roll on races
i wish i knew if it was a 5.0 or not, i just know it had dual exhaust and was loud as hell! I think it was an auto but then again im not sure???

I got headers, intake, short throw shifter, and stage 2 clutch. I just know that it was fun wheather it was a race or not!

Man, what the hell are you talking about...there is tons of stuff to do around here, but I still rather cruise, listen to my music, and try to race.
