Re: Best Car for under $7,000 US..
my friend got a 1995 328i for $9K about a year ago. it's not all that fast at all and isn't all that impressive. i used to kill him all the time in my 1995 maxima, which i picked up for right around your price range. that's what i'd recommend, a 95-99 maxima.

Get a bimmer, you wont regret it. Maximas are boring, bimmers aren't.

Question???
Isn't "Bimmer" a word that is pronounced BIM-ER, so shouldn't you be saying "Beemer", which would be pronounced BEEM-ER... it's a long E sound vs. a short I sound. |

Re: Best Car for under $7,000 US..
a 95 bmw m3 for 7k? I doubt you will be able find one in good condition unless you get lucky. Plus BMW parts arent exacly cheap and that it something you would need to keep in mind for any used vehicle. DSM's arent known for being all that dependable compared o other vehicles but if you can work on the car yourself I would say you cant go wrong with them, they surely can go fast
If you can find one maybe a celica All-trac turbo. I hear they can be found for under 8k. They are very close to the AWD DSM's in performance. AWD 200hp 3100~+lb's but I hear they have stronger trannies.uh, I think a fairly nice mr2 turbo can be had for about 7k aswell. Then there are also the muscle cars like mustangs/camaro's/firebirds wich can be found for about 7k and will most definatly be fast, I also think u can get a late c4 vette with an LT1 for about 7k if you look.. not sure :/ What are you looking to do with the car? Will it be your daily driver? What kind of weather do you get during the winter? How old are you? This your 1st car? Are you prepared to work on the car yourself or? |

Re: Best Car for under $7,000 US..
Since they're mostly Honda ricer punks, you could really piss them off by getting a hooked-up Mustang 5.0 (made until 1995). They are cheap, reliable, and fast as hell with minor bolt-ons. If not that, then the DSM (Eclipse GSX, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser) is probably your best bet. In the used market, I believe that these two cars offer the best bang-for-buck you can get.

I'd have an Eclipse GSX, but then again I'm not 16 and can get reasonably priced insurance, you on the other hand...
