96 Explorer, Cranks but won't start

I have an 96 explorer XLT. When try to start it up it continuallly cranks but won't turnover. Any clue as to what might be occuring?

Need to check for spark and fuel delivery to the engine. Once that is done, post back and on to bigger/better things.

The fuel delivery switch is in place, haven't check the spark plugs yet

press the gas pedal a little,then crank, if it starts replace the iac valve. if not it is probably the fuel pump.
