Cool Cruiser to Sportbike

I have put 1500 miles on my V-Star 650 Custom and I am looking for a Sportbike. I want something that handles and is as low to the ground as possible (i'm 5'4") w/out comprimising handling. I'm 33 and a family man so wheelies are not on the agenda. I have my eye on the yzf600r. I want something fast and comfortable. If it helps to understand my driving style, I have always owned BMW 325's with sport pkgs. Thanks for your time.

yeah, that's what i would've suggested, yzf600r and cbr600 f4i. I think the latter is more track aspired though. but both good for street riding than the usual 600s' ergonomics. there's also ZZR600 and SV650S, and VFR 800 Interceptor.

Re: Cruiser to Sportbike

If you are looking for a true sport bike, I would suggest any of the 600's from Suzuki, Kaw, Honda or Yamaha. In oarticular, the Suzuki GSXR, Kaw 636, Honda 600RR or F4, and Yamaha YZF R6.

All of thes bike offer quite a bit in a small package. The motors lay down a fair amount of power, the suspension and brakes are top notch, and they are light weight.

Honestly, I'd recomment the VFR800 Interceptor. It's a sport-tourer, but you'd never know from the looks. Great long-distance abilities, and nice accelleration.
