Radio not working
Well the stock radio only the AM part of it was working so I pitched it and bought a brand new radio.. I pit it in hooked it up and the thing worked like a charm. I guess I pushed my luck and thought I would try to install an XM add on to my radio so I pulled it all back apart ran the wires for the XM processor under the seat put it all back in and now the darn thing wont work!!! Im pulling my hair out here I have went over the wire connections like three times and its all good. I checked the fuse under the drivers side and it was good.. checked the radio fuse it was also good.. I went and got the old radio and it would not light up.. So I got a test light and started testing.. I do have power to the connector when I turn on the key but the radio wont turn on.. I tested the wire that should have power 7/24 and NOTHING ???? I look in the manual and its the orange one that is not working right.. looking at the digram it runs to the BCM and from there out to the PDC... I really dont want to start messing with the BCM so I guess here is my question.. would the 7/24 power wire not working make the radio not work at all.. shouldnt it still come on when I turn the key? The red/white wire has juice when key is on. Also this is a 96 Voyager, and although the manual says an orange wire runs to the BCM mine is solid red. Looking at the BCM it is a mess to replace and to take it to the dealer costs a lot? am I wrong?

on a side note now the air bag light is on the AC dont work and the blinkers stopped working? Looks like this thing is going down hill. Is all this tied to the BCM ? I just went to the parts stor and they told me that the BCM is like 600 bucks.....

Found the second radio fuse, its under the hood in the master panel. I think its marked acc/mem or something like that.

Re: Radio not working
When you find a few things wrong like that, you may want to check the owners manual, and see what the individual fuses and relays control. They will often control a grouping of things like this, and this could be as easy as a quick replacement.
