Model part# dr. side Lock assembly

Hello everyone, new forum user here. Anyone know where I could get a diagram of the driver's side lock assembly which has all the part#s listed?

Funny story, actually, last year I lost the remote to the keyless entry thing and realized that I couldn't open the driver's side door via the key (no click or anything when turning it) so I would have to do the passenger side door opening then launch myself over the seats to open the other door. Anyway, after a year of this I had enough and went to get it looked at. That was yesterday.

They found that it was an aftermarket keyless entry thing, and that, oddly enough, they can't find the pin/rod/whatever anywhere! Prolly never had it ever since I got the car 4 years ago (stupid me, why didn't I ever try the key??). Anyhow, the garage I was at needed a diagram of the assembly to know what part to get, but low and behold ALL the hyundai dealers around didn't have a fax machine that worked (uh huh, sure). I guess it's their way to get you to go to the dealer and get ripped off there. They even tried to jimmy a pin from a Buick LeSabre to fit but that failed. *sigh* Anyway, the only other course is to buy the WHOLE assembly which is expensive (at least compared to little piece of metal) and might or might NOT have that part they need (and no returns once you buy it). The guy will try to figure something out and call me today.

I was hoping that maybe some of you nice folks have tips/etc to help out .

PS: once I got home I realize that now I can't manually lock my driver's side door either. Talk about trying to fix something only to make it worse!

It is a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon FX.

kind of odd, im having locking problems too right now.

go to www.hyundaiusa.com

you will have to register. after you do that, you can search through proquest(the online parts catalog) when you find the part you need, check the box and hit add to list. you will then need to go back to the shopping cart link on the proquest logo page.
