It's like choosing a wife...
Ok I think you all remember my next ZedX coming up... 1993 Maroon Non-Turbo.
Well... A new factor has poked its head in. 1993 Maroon Non-Turbo... CONVERTABLE So now, who will it be. T-Tops, or convertable. Same year, mileage different by only 1,300. And in same condition. SAME PRICE. O God is deffinately messing with my head here... So answer the poll guys. (O, and who else got my title? One of them show a LOT more when their tops are off ... )-Wes

Re: It's like choosing a wife...
well i never seen a girl with T-tops. what is that, like her shirt opens up in flaps?
anyway a convertible just gets the girls sooo much more, and if you're worried about body stiffness it's really a non-issue because you're talking about a Z here, man

... Like your signature quote man. Haha
G-G-G-G-Unit. Im not really concerned about the "ladies" when it comes to my cars. I've had a long time girl-friend, that im perfectly content with. Anyways, I was thinking convertable personally... I've owned 2 T-Top Zeds already... Maybe its time for a change? -Wes

I've never been a big fan of the convertibles, they seem kinda girlie. But that is just my opinion.
I would go with the t-top Z. Either way, you are getting a Z, so it works out!!

Gotta question, which one is heavier? I'd go with the lighter one.
Convertible is all fun and go, but if it ain't black, all the shit stains show up. Plus with all rag tops, maintenance or changing it is a bitch, and expensive. And sometimes, the mechanical motor malfunctions. Otherwise, ZX Convertible is a good wetdream.

Re: It's like choosing a wife...
Yea the rag-top is black.
Plus, Zed's have never been my performance cars... They're just CARS. So lightness, or whatever doesnt really have an affect here. -Wes

in case you wanted to do performance mods, horsepower gains, it would've helped. every little bit does. anyway, I can guess which direction your heading.
Edit: Yeah, I wouldn't bother with a T-Top, since 2+2 and convertible have almost the exact weight. This issue would be different if you were getting Turbo, which is much much lighter. However, convertible is only 2 seater.

I don't think he'll be using it for performance but rather staring at his g/f's cleavage, that's why the convertible.

Re: It's like choosing a wife...
lol. I don't like the look of the conv when the top is up...same thing with the Z33 conv. In both cases, you lose the hatchback sexyness. With the T-tops, you get pretty much the same 'wind in your hair' experience without changing the look of the car too drastically. Hence my T-top vote.

I'm partial to the T-Top:
1. They don't look weird with the top in (or up in the convertibles case). This is a problem with just about every convertible ever. Save maybe Corvettes and 360 Modenas. 2. Convertibles are heavier with the added cost of increased chassis flex. Right now it sounds like Sams just looking for a nice set of wheels to cruise in. No problem, not every Z has to do 190 (like mine will ....soon anyway...) So the weight is not really an issue. In closing, I don't really see how we can choose for him.

Re: It's like choosing a wife...
the convertible does look really weird. i am used to seeing the z32 as a hatchback and the convertible gets rid of that so it does just look weird. since you aren't going for performance, than it doesn't matter about it weighing more and there is more chassis flex. but like somebody said earlier, you can get the same "wind in your hair" feel with t-tops and keep the look of the hatchback, so i say stick with the t-tops.

Personally I like the Ttops better myself, due to the look of the convertable to be ratty when not brand new and just sloppy. But then again if you have two already with Ttops, get the convertable just to have and collect.
AHHH to have 3 Z's and be confused on purchasing my third. That is only a dream to most........YOU BASTARD! . congratulations because i am jealous.
