a friend and i are replacing the motor and tranny in his 91 civic dx. the car currently has a four speed but he he's putting inaa 5 spd . its the same motor just a different tranny i was wondering if there is anythinfg that needs replacing ?

nope..shouldnt be.. si/dx axles are the same.

The 4spd was from a Civic STD. They had 23 spline hubs, DX and Si had 26. You also need the knuckles from a DX or Si to do this swap.
I actually have 2 axles from my DX which I will never use again, they were nearly new when I put in my ZC swap. How about $50 + shipping for both of them.

yup..you're right..wasnt thinking..just saw the dx..
std axles will fit in a dx/si tranny..the problem just comes at the hubs... but since its a dx chassis, I'm sure its safe to assume its got dx hubs and dx axles.. either way, keep the axles you have..they'll work.
