Question Instrctions required...

I have recently got a 730d (2004) and was planning to use it as an private hire/executive/limosine service. However, in order for the vehicle to be registered as such, a taxi/fare meter must be put in.
We got our local dealer to install a pulse/speed thing (Canbus, see http://www.soundlabsgroup.com.au/can..._interface.htm) and connect the wires to a meter. This is not the right model we got, it was said to work with the 2004 730d. Unfortunately it didn't, and at the moment, I am stuck as to what I need to do in order to be able to start the business.
I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance,
Brett

Re: Instrctions required...

Maybe it's just a matter of the meter you bought doesn't work. Try the meter you bought on another car for hire. If the meter works you must have some sort of compatibility problem-probably in the pulse/speed thing that you had installed. Maybe they installed the wrong one.

Ah, here it is! Probably the dealer installed the right speed sensor for your car instead of the right speed sensor for the meter that you bought. Have him install a speed sensor that goes with the meter you bought (after you verify the meter is good).
