you might want to put those spark plug wires below the valve covers.

Re: Revell Firebird Project

I am kinda perplexed by this engine...The headers are for a V6 engine. I know most chevys have the two center exhaust outlets close but there is usually two distinct pipes in the headers. Also your sparkplug wires should be below the valve covers. Spark plugs are in the head.

Re: Revell Firebird Project

if you can clip off the stock fan
you should. most real blower motors
do not use a clutch fan as there is
not enough room

Re: Revell Firebird Project

yep. Dump the clutch fan for an electric fan. Maybe 2 small fans found in the Camaro SS/Z28 or 1 big one like in various mustang kits by revell.

I looked at my 78 Firebird, and yea, it does look like it has V6 headers. Oh yeah, the 70's WS6 cars didnt use Chevy Engines. They used the 403 CID 6.6L Oldsmobile engine.

Why use the stock headers anyway with a blower like that? A nice set of long tubes would work.

If you look right above your exhaust headers, their are 4 verticle lines, those are where the plugs should be.

Bottom line; Make new exhaust pipes and rewire the ingnition wiring.
