ZC Setup question....

Ok, i just need a quick list of everything I am gonna need for my ZC swap. I'll be ordering it in 2 weeks, once i get my pay check. I've gone threw and i'm pretty sure I know what I need, but if someone could just make a list of EVERYTHING I am gonna need to do this swap i would really appreciate it.

Keep in mind that i'm and Automatic

first i would be good to know what model you have...so we can tell you of all the parts your going to need to switch from dpi to mpfi

if you are going to go mpfi i believe you are going to need

intake manifold
injectors
fuel rail
injector resistor box
engine harness
Si/ex dizzy
Si/ex ecu

geez...i know there is something im forgetting....its been a while since i swapped to mpfi

for a 5sp swap your gonna need

tranny
clutch cable
clutch assembly (it has the clutch and the brake peddles on it)
if your car is a std your going to need hubs and half shafts from a dx/lx/si/ex

i think you need the trans. mount from a 5 speed, but i might be wrong

as far as the actual engine goes, when i helped my buddy swap his, we used a d16a6 dizzy and ecu, im pretty sure everything bolted and plugged right up after that, exept, we had to get a new tps (seems like a common problem with zc's)

im sure im forgetting tons of stuff so wait for someone who has done this recently to reply before taking my advice, as it has been a good 4 years since i touched a 4th gen

Well, if all your doing is dropping it right in without replacing stuff, all you absolutely need to buy is an 84 accord upper radiator hose. But f you wanna replace stuff then:
Timing Belt.............88 Prelude Si
Dizzy Cap/rotor.......88-89 integra (the whole dizzy from an integra will work
Water Pump............88-91 civic
Oil filter..................88-91 civic
Plug Wires..............88-89 integra

Re: ZC Setup question....

hmm keeping auto.. I think it would be REALLY hard to find a auto zc ecu or even a auto pm6. So get a auto ecu from a 86-89 teg. That should do the trick. You ordered a swap so im assuming it has the fuel rail im etc, etc. So all you will need to convert to mpfi is a injector resistor box from any <1991 honda/acura

Yes, your tranny will bolt right up. And theres more auto ZC's out there than 5-spd. So i guess it should be easier to find that ecu, but 88-89 integra ecu will work fine. So will a 88-91 civic/crx ecu.
