Piston no big deal?

I never heard of piston slap until I bought a 2000 2500 silverado and I guess I have piston slap on cold start up but other than the minute or two of ticking I have no problems. I tow a big 5th wheel get great power and decent mileage I have almost 70,000 miles on the engine. So is all this piston slap really hurting anything? Has anyone had engine failure because of piston slap? Heh put on some flowmaster and turn up the radio and enjoy your truck by the way I have a 6.0

Re: Piston no big deal?

Look into adding LUCAS oil treatment the next time you change your oil. It acts a little like SLICK 50, but not as expensive, it might eleminate your "ticking" sound.
