Automatic Headlights

Okay, I give up. How do I dim the headlights on my 2000 Buick Century?

I have to enter a military installation at night, and the sentries hate it when cars don't dim their headlights when going through the security check point.

Re: Automatic Headlights

Flashlight on the dash sensor is the only way I know of. It takes a minute or so.

Re: Automatic Headlights

If its the same as a 2001 Century all you have to do is pull the light switch half way out(as you did in the old days before all this fancy shit). This will just leave your parking & tail lights on . If you want to turn the headlights on at any time you pull the switch all the out.Pushing it in all the way resumes the auto mode and the sensor controls them.
Hope it helps.

Re: Automatic Headlights

Cool, I did not know that. I'll try it when I get home tonight.

Holy crap! It never occured to me to pull on that big knob! But that's it. And I swear I looked high and low in the manual for it.

Thanks! Gotta love the internet and discussion forums!
