Re: problem with oil
lhavelas
I would try a full synthetic like mobile1 or Amsoil if it is available there. what is the characteristics of the oil that tell you it has "died"? Question for my interest is - How is the oil rated in your country. do they use the API system there? JD |

Re: problem with oil
API is the northamerican system of rating oil for warrenty approval. they use two letters - the latest oil rating for gas engines is SL. the S indicates it is for gas engines (with spark ignition) and the L indicates the series of testing that it has undergone. the previous series was the SJ rating.
Your conditions there should be similar to the southern US and these oils work well there. I'm still not sure how you could tell that the oil "died" from hot operating. did you have an oil analysis done at a lab? JD |

Re: problem with oil
We have 45 oC in Turkmenistan.
The other thing: there is a lot different kind of Mobil 1 and Castrol as well. Need to pay attention to specifications on it. BR, Arkadiy |
