Radio Removal In 85 Calais Supreme

I'm baffled trying to remove the factory radio from the dash in 85 Olds Calais Supreme. It look like there are screws to be removed from rear but there's no access. Haynes Manual says the front panel should pop right off but no dice. Any help?

Re: Radio Removal In 85 Calais Supreme

there should be like a gray piece if what looks like trim. you pull it off around the edges and it should pop off. then behind that there are two screws on top get those then the radio should come out.
