1992 Ford Ranger

Clutch fails and then after truck is stopped a few minutes it returns to normal operation. This has happened twice.

Any ideas about what causes this?

Thanks,

Mike Vaughan

I have a 94 ranger with 4.0 engine and 5 speed, had problem of when the truck would get hot( just above normal temp) the clutch would not function at all, pedal moved but no action with clutch, and after it cooled down for 20 or 30 minutes it would work again until it got hot, I replaced the slave cylinder and have not had any problems since(almost 11000 miles. Hope that you dont have to do this, because the trans has to come out to get to it.
