93 Burb wont idle
Ive posted before about my troubles with my 93 suburban. Here is what I am dealing with and what I have done.
Upon starting it dies w/in the first 10 mins, unless I keep the engine above 1100 RPM's. I replaced the fuel filter, had a shop tell me it was the fuel pump relay, replaced that..still having problems. Kept messing with it and driving it, if I could get it through that first 10 or so mins, it was fine. Problem was very hit/miss, finally started getting really bad and I was able to get a code 35 and 54.
I replaced the idle air control valve, and now it wont idle at all. I have to keep it above 1100 or it instantly dies. I tried replacing the ECM and that didnt help.
Also, once it dies the only way to get it to re-start is to prime it. Once I prime it and keep the rpms up, it will stay running. If I then turn it off, it will re-start. If it dies, it wont without me priming it.
I dont think another fuel pump relay will help, since it only ran for 2 days after they had put the first one in. It also ran great for 2 days when I put in a new fuel filter. I havent gotten any new codes.
I am trying desperatley to fix this myself so I can save myself the cost of a good mechanic. Any ideas would be really appreciated!
