High RPM's before VTEC engaugemnt.
Anyone know if this is harmful to an engine? With my luck, I always get stuck racing people right before my car is warm enough for VTEC to engauge. It makes a pretty wierd noise at about 7k+ w/o VTEC...

Hehe I know what u mean
![]() The only thing I can tell is that it isnt good at all for the engine to let it go over a certain rpm when it cold (just started). I have heard that it will shorten the engine lifetime. And btw, just wait until it is warm before ur foot gets urgent :frog:

Yea...it's basically telling you to just let the engine warm up before you get heavy footed. Just take your RPM up to 4000 if at all possible until the temperature needle gets to about 1/4....then stomp on it.
