Question replace engine

I just bought a 94 skyline automatic. I want to know if it is possible to be able to change out the engine and transmission. I want to get a GT-R engine and make it a stick shift. Not knowledgeable at all on Skylines. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Re: replace engine

there is a shop in Itoman that does pretty good jobs on engine swaps and they have pretty good prices. here's what they quoted for my R32, but I think it might be a little more for your R33.

take out my RB20DET and 5 speed.
put in an RB26DETT with stock twin turbos and front mount intercooler. Gut the front drive shit and weld the oil pan shut and install a 5 speed from an R33 GTS25t.

All of that installed for about 5 grand.

RB26DETT with turbos and all piping, harness, ECU but no intercooler: 220000yen or about 2G's.

Just so you know what you are looking at ROUGHLY. but it's going to be a lot of work.

for a 4WD conversion they quoted 7500 bucks for a RB26DETT with GTR tranny and 4WD, attezza member all installed.

That would make a pretty freaky car if you did that to a 4 door GTS or something like that but.... hey whatever floats your boat.

BTW... there are SO many skylines for sale right now and there has been for months, if you are new to the island why didn't you just get a stick one to begin with? it would make it much easier. If you had a stick GTS25t you could just drop the RB26DETT right in (okay well maybe not that simple but a full day at typhoon motors should do you).

Re: replace engine

muzigama is on RT58 going north. just as you pass kadena gate 1 you find yourself looking at the ocean and the flightline as you are driving. This is muzigama. Kadena marina is also on your left as you head north. once the straight away stops just turn around. we drive in circles there all night long.
