i guess im just having more problems and your probally going wow someone chase her away lmao well yet im a challenged person and have to be persistant and trying to get this timing this right im looking for a step by step barney style i red it in the book but it kinda confuses me hellpppppp!!!! i have at timing light

I presume from your name, this is for a 1974 Bug. First a few questions.
Carburator or fuel injection? What distributor do you have? Timing classic Beetle engines is based on the installed distributor. The year of the car or engine has nothing to do with it. Many of these old Bugs have had engines and/or distributors replaced somewhere along the line, and the original specs are no longer valid. There should be a plate or numbers stamped on the distributor body. they will be something like: 0 231 176 033 Once you have that you can get the correct timing procedures and settings. |
