Transporter the movie BMW

Does anyone know what that ignition code thing is (tech.terms I am using) that Jason Statham has in his Beemer, and where I can buy one. Also, maybe somebody could tell me what it is called. Thanks

Re: Transporter the movie BMW

It's called Hollywood magic. If you want to punch in a code to let you start the engine, you've already got it.

Re: Transporter the movie BMW

So if what I told you was obvious, why did you ask such an idiotic question to begin with?

Don't forget to put some 22" spinners on your car, that'll give you some mad bling yo.

Buddy.

Ohhhhh - I'm sorry, I just looked at your profile and you have an 88 CRX - maybe that's why you don't understand my mention of using the code AND why you'd want such a stupid ass looking box to punch buttons on.

Re: Transporter the movie BMW

So, buddy, your dad bought you a BMW and now you think that your hot shit. Good for you. And you "tried" to do some research and found that I have an 88 crx. Maybe you should look closer cause I don't have an 88 crx I have a 91 CRX that would probably rip the pants off your little Nazi car

Re: Transporter the movie BMW

i have a 97 740il im not sure what year yours is ( or if you even have one) but the car actually has a program on the OBC that when you make up a code the car wont start unless you enter the code. and btw there is no way in fucking hell a CRX or any rice burner can take an e38. if you can blow up an sti or a boxter, then maybe but so far those both dont have shit on the freeway performance that my m62 punches out

BMW didnt have a protection package in 92 on their e32 7's so unless you put in your own bulletproof glass then you dont have it

Re: Transporter the movie BMW

Back away from the bull shit, and lets answer your qeustion! BMW uses a controll module called EWS on your car. This system needs a few things to start your car. It needs the factory key that is only ordered VIN specific most of all. The key contains its own ID code that gets uploaded into the EWS (Electronic Driveawy Protection) every time the key is turned on. The EWS then sends an ISN code to the DME. This then frees the DME to fire the injectors and the ignition coils. However, a correctly cut key will still turn the starter. Your car contains a Board Computer function that has a four digit code that will stop stating, but the key will then still have to be used. Point being, the idea is neat, but almost impossibe without an ingeniuos reprogramming by Bill Gates!

Cool Re: Re: Transporter the movie BMW

Yeah, Im replying to the two idiots.

First, I worked like hell to buy my 92 750, on my own. Thats what happens when you actually finish high school.

Second, In 92' they did have the protection package, its very rare but mine definitely has it. Also, to let you know, I bought it from the largest bmw dealer in illinois (Laurel) and I think they might know what they are talking about. Not some punk ass that THINKS he know about bmw's.

And I know about the code that you can put in the car to make it not start, my old car an 88 535 had it even. But you still need the key. Im trying to eliminate keys, like some of the new cadillac's
