Canceling the election would be giving into terrorism. The election will go on as expected, there is no doubt in my mind.

Re: canceling Election Day over terrorism

Curiously,I am in agreement with Yogs again.

Anyways, why would any terrorist organisation waste time trying to terrorise ordinary Americans when the press are so hellbent on doing it for them?

The attack on the WTC was successful only because the terrorists used a new approach, that of hijacking planes and using them as weapons rather than as bargaining chips.
Their infiltration, training and organisation of that attack was also dependant on a total lack of vigilance by the nation's defence forces.Quite clearly, those days are over. The security issues have been addressed, the gaps plugged, the blind confidence of the population that the military will protect them from harm is dead and buried. In case anyone hadn't noticed, there have been no further attacks on the U.S. The terrorists have not returned, but the domestic media continue to do their dirty work for them.

And the President continues to use them as an excuse to persue his own agenda in the Middle East.

alright, my bad. trust me when i say i have no interest in this thread. i just found it funny and figured a few others would to. sort of a joke and yes again G.W. Bush is the butt of it again. he just makes it so easy.

exactly, one attack. and they still use it to do what ever they see fit to"'protect" the people. but as the public loses interest in the war on terror they may make a return.
