Unhappy Recharging 1993 Saturn AC

My 1993 4 door's AC has gotten progressively warmer over the last six months. I figure it needs a can of refrigerant.

I got out my guage and hose and bought a can of 134a. My snap fittings won't connect to the snap fititng on the Saturn, though. What's up with that? Does Saturn use some special refrigerant and require a special snap fititng to put it in or something?

Any advice or assistance will be sincerely apprieicated.

Re: Recharging 1993 Saturn AC

i bet your 93 has R-12, you'll need a conversion kit to use the R-134a, as R-12 is impossible to get. sorry i can't help you more than that, i've never done one myself.
