2003 Ranger problem

I have a problem, I installed a new remote starter starter in my 2003 Ranger 4x4, 4.0 xlt, automatic, everything went great, all wires were hooked up and it was running great, but, in the process of putting everything back together, i shorted the main power in the steering wheel,(big yellow wire), it a was a very quick spark, horn, did a quick beep when it happened, i thought everthing was ok, but when i turn the key, the horn went off and couldnt stop it, finally figured out the remote starter pcm was fried, when i unplugged it, horn quit. BUT, now it doesnt do anything when i try to start it with key, no clicks no nothing, no radio no power windows, the "Big Yellow wire" isnt hot anymore, checked all my fues with tester, they tested good, tested the ecm relay and the starter relay with multimeter and 12 volt source, checked out fine, power locks work, cig lighter works, lights work, dinger works for when i leave keys in truck works, horn works...lol, is there a fusable link somewhere? or some fuses i dont know about? i know of the ones on the drivers fender under hood and on the side of dash on drivers side, The truck is under warranty, but wont be covered for this.
Please Help, Im just a poor worker trying to get by, I cant afford the 400.00 for new ecm, i hope thats not the problem
Thanks alot
Brian

Re: 2003 Ranger problem

Yes, there are fusable links. I think those for that truck are in the main harness to the rear of the engine. Are you sure that you checked each and every fuse? I'd use a meter to do that.

BTW, how in the world did you short that wire out????????
