Help. Do's and Don't's for removing your ECU
I have a 1992 e36 318i, I have a chip for better fuel timing and I need to take out my ecu obviously to swap it with the stocker. Anyone that has done this give me all the tips so I don't do something dumb and cost myself 700$ I've never worked with the computer before. All I can think of atm is disconnecting the battery but im sure there's other things I don't know about, thanks.

I've recently done mine myself and would recommend using this site for your car - http://member.rivernet.com.au/btaylor/EnginePower.htm
great site, and you don't have to disconnect the battery. let me know if this helps |
