Coolant Disappearing
Hey, I have a 97 XJ and my coolant seems to be disappearing. I lose about a quart every 400 miles. I cant find any spots on the driveway, and dont see anything leaking at all. Is it possible it is being burnt in the pistons through an internal leak. Any other ideas would be great! Thanks

Re: Coolant Disappearing
Look at your water pump, from under neatht he vehicle. look at the weep-hole in the pump, just behind the pulley, is there evidence of corrosion, or evidence of wter tracking dowm your lower radiator hose. If so your watter pump may be getting ready to go. I have 27,000 on my water pump, no problems yet!
