Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring

Does anyone know where I can get the spring that fits into the regulator on the back of the TBI in a 91' 4.3ltr. Rebuilding mine I found the spring broke in 3 peices, Advance auto doesn't carry the spring, only the diaphram. The LAST PART to a running truck! FRUSTRATED!!!

You might have to go to a dealer for that one.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator Spring

Yup, after calling 4 differant dealers, I was able to get, not the spring, but the complete upper assembly to the TBI. This worked just fine, didn't have to mess with trying to compress the spring. Well, with the TBI thouroghly cleaned, it ran really well, only problem is that the TPS is giving a code now, tried clearing codes, came back. This is becuase I wasn't careful and submerged the entire TBI into greased lightning to clean the oil and crud off. Submerging the TPS. Oops! Lesson learned.
